Preparare:
Prima data pregatim aluatul. Lasam deoparte.

Dam branza pe razatoare.
Intr-o tigaie prajim baconul pana cand devine crispy.

Perfect to enjoy with beer 😀
Mini aperitif croissants with cheese and bacon are easy to make, they can be eaten simple or with some mustard, ketchup or your favorite sauce.
I used gouda cheese and bacon, but you can use your favorite cheese and any type of ham if you don’t like bacon.
Ingredients: (for ~16 croissants )
- ~300 g flour (if the dough is too soft, add a little more)
- 300 g bacon
- 60 g soft butter
- 250 g ricotta cheese
- 300 g grated gouda cheese (or any cheese you like)
- 1 egg
- poppy seeds (or if you prefer sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.)
Preparation:
Start by making the dough. Add in bowl the flour, butter and ricotta cheese. With your hands, mix everything until you get a compact dough. Leave it aside.
Grate the cheese. Fry the bacon in a pan until it becomes crispy. When it’s ready, drain the oil and put it in a bowl.
On the work surface, sprinkle flour and put the dough. With the help of a rolling pin, stretch the dough into a round shape, as much as you can. With the help of a pizza wheel or a knife, cut the dough into equal triangular pieces. First cut in half, then in quarters, then the quarters in halves and so on. Sprinkle the cheese and bacon evenly over the dough. Roll each strip from the outside to the inside.
Put the croissants on a tray prepared with baking paper. Proceed like this until you finish the dough. Brush each croissant with beaten egg and sprinkle poppy seeds on top.
Put the tray in the preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius, for ~20 minutes or until they are nicely browned.
They are really good warm right out of the oven and the second day if you heat them for 30-40 seconds in the microwave, they will be perfect.
If you try the recipe, let me know how you liked it! 😊
