Tocanita de pui, cu apio, cartof dulce si fasole pastai – Chicken stew, with celery, sweet potato and green beans

Tocanita delicioasa cu carne de pui, usor de facut si plina de arome, ideala de savurat in zilele reci de toamna sau iarna.

Ingrediente: (Pentru 6 portii)

  • ~ 500 g cartofi galbeni (micuti)
  • ~ 500 cartofi dulci
  • un piept de pui mare
  • un ardei kapia mare
  • 2 morcovi mari
  • 5 tije de apio
  • ~ 400 g fasole verde pastai
  • 2 cepe rosii
  • 400 g rosii in suc propriu (de la conserva)
  • patrunjel proaspat
  • amestec condimente din: o lingura boia iute, o lingura boia dulce, o ligura praf de ceapa, o lingura praf de usturoi, o lingura seminte nigella sativa (negrilica), o lingura nucsoara macinata, sare + piper
  • 30 ml ulei de masline
  • 2 cuburi concentrat de supa, aroma legume

Preparare:

Legumele si carnea se spala si se taie, dupa cum urmeaza: fasolea pastai se curata de capete si se taie in doua, pieptul de pui pe din doua pe lung si apoi felii egale, cartofii dulci cuburi marisoare, cartofii galbeni in sferturi, ardeiul kapia se taie in patru fasii lungi si apoi felii egale, tijele de apio se taie in doua pe lung si apoi felii egale, morcovii in doua pe lung si apoi felii egale iar ceapa se taie marunt, solzisori.

Intr-o oala incapatoare, punem uleiul. Cand acesta s-a incins, adaugam ceapa, apio, ardeiul si condimentele si amestecam bine. Gatim cam un minut. Adaugam apoi pieptul de pui si le gatim impreuna cam 3-4 minute. Apoi adaugam cartofii galbeni, cartofii dulci, fasolea pastai, morcovul si rosiile din conserva, adaugam sare + piper si cele 2 cuburi de concentrat de supa. Adaugam ~800 ml de apa, amestecam bine, punem capacul peste oala si lasam sa se gateasca la foc mediu, amestecand periodic, pentru aproximativ 45-50 de minute, sau pana cand legumele toate sunt fierte.

Cand este gata, oprim focul, o mai lasam cam 30 minute cu capacul pus, dupa care presaram deasupra patrunjelul proaspat tocat si putem servi. 🙂

Merge foarte bine cu muraturi, sau ca atare.

Delicious chicken stew, easy to prepare and full of flavours, ideal to enjoy on cold autumn or winter days.

Ingredients: (For 6 servings)

  • ~ 500 g yellow potatoes
  • ~ 500 sweet potatoes
  • 1 large chicken breast
  • 1 large pepper
  • 2 large carrots
  • 5 stalks of celery
  • ~ 400 g green beans
  • 2 red onions
  • 400 g of tomatoes in own juice (canned)
  • fresh parsley
  • mix spices from: a spoonful of hot paprika, a spoonful of sweet paprika, a spoonful of onion powder, a spoonful of garlic powder, a spoonful of nigella sativa seeds, a spoonful of ground nutmeg, salt + pepper
  • 30 ml of olive oil
  • 2 cubes of soup concentrate, vegetable flavor

Preparation:

Wash the vegetables and the meat and cut them as follows: clean the ends of the green beans and cut them in half, cut the chicken breast in half lengthwise and then cut it into equal slices, peel and cut the sweet potatoes into large cubes, peel and cut the yellow potatoes into quarters, cut the pepper into four long strips and then into equal slices, cut the celery stalks into two lengthwise and then into equal slices, cut the carrots into two lengthwise and then into equal slices and chop finely the onion.

Put the oil in a large pot. When it has heated up, add the onion, celery, pepper and spices and mix well. Cook for about a minute. Then add the chicken breast and cook them together for about 3-4 minutes. Then add the yellow potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots and canned tomatoes, add salt + pepper and the 2 cubes of soup concentrate. Add ~800 ml of water, mix well, put the lid on and let it cook on medium heat, stirring periodically, for about 45-50 minutes, or until all the vegetables are cooked.

When it’s ready, turn off the heat, leave it for about 30 minutes with the lid on, then sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top and serve. 🙂

It goes really well with pickles.
